Hello! I'm Nicklas Steffensen, a Canadian Game Designer.

Using my knowledge of prototyping and user-centric design, I strive to create gameplay experiences that are engaging, nuanced, and above all, fun. 

In the past I've worked as a Game Designer for LBC Studios, a game studio in Vancouver, British Colombia. Here I worked on variety of projects, including the studio's flagship title 'Hempire', a simulation game with more than 30 million downloads on the Google Play & iOS App Stores, and Bob Marley: World Tour, a music/rhythm game for iOS and Android.

I love to learn new software, and am always eager to teach myself whatever skills are required for the task at hand. I've been described as dependable, driven, and an excellent communicator. 
 
I've been playing games for as long as I could hold a controller, and enjoy a wide variety of genres. Some of my favorites include Portal, Shadow of the Colossus, Hearthstone, The Last of Us, Psychonauts, Metal Gear Solid, Celeste, and the Ace Attorney series.

Outside of game development, my interests include creative writing, music production, and film editing.
